Yesterday, I went around the city with my wife after feeling like a pariah what with sticking around at home for one and a half years except for my few and far between grocery runs again thanks to the online shopping. So, our day out was filled with excitement and a bonhomie after having visited a few double-vaccinated senior couples on their invitation /consent after promptly observing due Covid protocols. After these offline meetings with some of the members among our large and affectionate clan that dot all over the great city that has warmed the cockles of my heart (good for my real vessels inside there because cockles mean in Latin heart's ventricles, ‘cochleae cordis’). Our couple has finally laid to rest our pariah-like feeling that has set in right on the heels of the cursed pandemic. Seeing the streets and roads chockablock with masked up people, it appeared the world has found its feet again after the second wave - before hopefully, no third wave dares to touch us with a bargepole. Amen!
